It’s time for another installment of my home tour…my bedroom! This is where the magic happens, and by magic I mean the magical feeling of me watching Grey’s Anatomy and eating Oreos from my cozy bed. I definitely spent the most time and money on decorating my bedroom, because I spend so much time in it. From planning outfits to working at my desk to snuggling with Penny, my room is my own personal headquarters. So, without further adieu, check out my bedroom tour!
Before now, I’ve never had a big enough room to put my bed in the middle of the wall. I’ve always pushed one edge of my bed against a wall or window, so this was a change! I opted for matching side tables and matching hanging lamps to “frame” the bed! The side tables were basic Ikea purchases, which I spiced up with drawer knobs from Anthropologie! The hanging lamps allowed for more space on my side tables and gave my room a more elevated, customized feel.
I found these hanging chain and lamp chords on Amazon. Originally, the chain was brass and the chord was neon yellow….ew! So, I laid out a tarp on the patio and sprayed both the chord and the chain white! I wrapped the actual plug and bulb holder with plastic and tape, to prevent any paint from ruining it!
If you’re not looking to get so involved with DIY, but still want hanging lamps, there are also super simple white hanging chords on Amazon. Click HERE to check them out.
Diffusing essential oils is a big part of my nightly routine! I’ve been using one since college and have tried out tons of different oils and diffusers. My favorite I’ve found thus far for both oils + diffusers is Pilgrim! I use their waterless diffuser, so I don’t need to refill the diffuser with H20 before gettin’ my relaxation on!
As you can see, I have WAY too many purses! They’re not all pictured here because I didn’t want you guys to see exactly how many I have and then majorly judge me. This set of over-the-door hooks from Urban Outfitters holds all of my purses with ease! If you’re an accessory addict like me, click HERE to get one for yourself.
For me, it’s the little things that make a room feel like yours. I love love love my woven rug and hand carved curtain rod, because they add such a unique “pop” to my space. I’ve linked them, as well as everything else you see in this post, below!
