I’m normally not too stoked on Mondays, but this week is different. Why, you may ask?! Because I’m finally getting around to posting my house tour! I can’t even tell you guys how excited I am to share my space with you and hear your thoughts! Since moving into this apartment, I’ve caught the interior decor bug. The minute I was done decorating my apartment, I was ready for a new one so I could start all over. HA!
I’ll be posting room by room on the blog with alllll the links you’ve been asking for and similar options if things are sold out.
First up is the most important room any house, the kitchen! I had a super small kitchen and dining space to work with, which I bet a lot of you gals can relate to! Decorating this small space turned out to be such a fun challenge for me.
I wish wish wish I took before pictures of my apartment, so I could show you what I started with! Whoops. Definitely something I’ll remember to do at my next place. The kitchen is small, but pretty open! I added the island for extra storage and for a little area to eat. One side of the island has shelves for dishes + kitchen appliances, and the other side has space for two stools.
These stools can be adjusted to different heights, which is very important when your boyfriend is six foot five! They came with slightly different wood on the top, which totally bothered my obsessive compulsive self! But I’ve actually started to like the difference…gives them a bit of character!
This fruit basket is from The Little Market, a nonprofit that aims to empower female artisans in developing countries. I love their products and their mission. You can shop the basket HERE.
The only big empty wall we had was right as you walk into our apartment, so I added a huge wooden mirror and potted plant! The mirror really opens up the space. To the left of the front door, I have three hooks which have been such a lifesaver. At my old place, I could never find my keys, purse, dog leash, etc. These hooks solved that problem 🙂
Unfortunately, during my move, a lot of my bowls and plates broke! I wanted to replace them without breaking the bank, so I bought THIS SET and loved it! You can shop the 18 piece dinnerware set HERE.
Aside from the bedrooms, my apartment was basically one long rectangle. I wanted to separate the kitchen and living room in some way, so I added this little breakfast table. Originally I was going to replace the matching benches with chairs, but decided against it! The benches are such a space saver and look super clean.
This framed print was in my old place, and I always get tons of questions about it! The frame is Urban Outfitters, but the actual artwork is an old newspaper ad from a newspaper I bought at a flea market! Cost me twenty five cents and is one of my favorite pieces ever.
As promised, here are ALL of the links I could find. Please comment if there’s a link that’s sold out or not working, and I can give you another 🙂
