I’m waking up to a major pinch me moment this morning…my jewelry collection is selling out! I’ve teamed up with Motif to bring you guys a curated collection of delicate gold jewelry, perfect for layering and stacking. I almost never wear just one necklace or ring at a time, because I love combining different pieces from other brands, vintage shopping, etc. These pieces are meant to be added to the jewelry collection you already have, plus they come in gold and silver for whichever metal you prefer [ I’m a gold girl, myself! ]. Keep reading for a little description of each piece and the special meaning behind it!
This collection was inspired by some of the badass, smart, funny chickadees in my life. Here I’m wearing the Hayley Droplet Necklace + the Adelaide Chain Necklace, inspired by two of my best friends from home.
I was going to write about my collection with Motif next week, but wanted to get this post up ASAP so that you gals can shop before it’s all gone! The collection is only available for a limited time, but I’m working on possibly restocking a few of the pieces, so stay tuned 🙂
THE “MADDY” HALF MOON NECKLACE
Maddy is my free spirited, world traveling, good doing best friend. She’s been to Dubai and Morocco, lived in Florence, Italy and we event went to Guatemala together in high school! She works as a special needs teacher full time, and takes amazing photos in her spare time. She’s actually the first person to ever take a photo of me for my blog, and helped me gain the confidence to start TC in the first place. In high school, we’d drive along the lake at night for hours, blasting Coldplay and the Dixie Chicks. Her “Half Moon” necklace reminds me of those simpler times, and makes me so amazed to see how far we’ve come.
THE “HAYLEY” DROPLET NECKLACE
Hayley Rose is beautiful [ like serioussssly beautiful. but she’s taken, sorry guys! ], loving and sweet, making this dainty droplet necklace perfect for her. Between studying to be a nurse, working long hours at the hospital + helping out with her adorable younger siblings Jack + Mia [ they’re twins! ], she’s basically a wonder woman. If this necklace had a droplet for every person Hayley dedicated her time to, there’d be like….1,000 droplets!
THE “ADELAIDE” CHAIN NECKLACE
Adelaide is basically the tiniest human ever, but she’s strong and outspoken…her necklace is a perfect mix of delicate gold chain and a stronger metal circle at the bottom. Adelaide is by far my spunkiest friend, full of energy and wit! I’ve watched her grow from a sassy teenager getting detention for messing around in our Calculus class to a successful, bright, brilliant girl boss. Proud friend right here!
THE “CLARE” CACTUS BRACELET
Clare and I met almost ten years ago [ woah ] at volleyball camp. We quickly became best friends, and all these years later we’re still going strong. Clare and I grew up in Chicago, but decided to head south for college to the University of Texas [ hence the cactus…get it? ]! I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through the loneliness of being so far from home without her. Her positivity, crazy amounts of energy and unwavering loyalty has meant the world to me. She’s always been a little piece of home for me, and I love her SO much!
THE “FRANKIE” LOVE NECKLACE
My dad is the youngest of ten siblings…yes, T-E-N, so needless to say I have tons of cousins. My cousin Kari came to live with us after college, and we became as close as sisters. When her sister Keely moved to Chicago as well, I truly felt like my immediate family gained two new members. I’ve watched Kari get married to a major catch and Keely create the most amazing life [ career, personal + otherwise ] in a city where she knew no one except for us. Last year, Kari welcomed a baby girl, Frankie, named after our grandpa Francis. The only word I can use to describe seeing Kari be such an amazing mom and Keely be the best aunt ever is LOVE! My heart could just burst from it all!
THE “SYDNEY” RING
This last one is for my mamma. Her name is actually “Cydney” pronounced like the city in Australia, but I knew people would have trouble with the “C”. It’s confusing, we know 🙂 I could write an entire book about all the reasons I love my mom, but I’ll keep it simple. She’s my best friend, my role model and has every quality I wish I had. She deserves a freakin’ statue named after her, but this ring will have to do!
