This week under the Brand Spotlight is one of my absolute favorite swim brands…Peony Swimwear! I’m always a bit picky about buying swim and making sure it was made thoughtfully. In the summer, I’m in a swimsuit almost everyday, so I look for quality pieces that will last against salty ocean water, hot sun and grainy sand. After spending four full days in Mexico wearing Peony Swimwear, it’s clear that Peony is high quality! There was no fading from the sun, no snags from coral or rocks and no stains from coconut oil or sunscreen…YAY.
Peony Swimwear is handmade in Australia with luxe fabrics, inspired by boho femininity. They use fair production methods and thoughtfully select merchants for their supply chain, which is super important. For those who don’t know, a supply chain encompasses every component necessary to make an item of clothing…textile weavers, fabric vendors, etc. Even if a brand is hand sewn, the materials it used to make it may have come from a factory with poor working conditions or environmental standards [ oh no! ], which is why keeping track of a supply chain is so important.
For this shoot, I’m wearing the “Tri Bralette” Top with matching “Staple” Bottoms. If you’re not into matchy matchy, Peony has a feature on their website where you can mix and match all of their tops and bottoms to find the combo you love…genius! Photos by Hanna of Hanna Photography!
P.S. if you’re like me and can’t wait for warmer weather, try scrolling through Peony’s Tumblr for summertime inspo.
